On Kali River Rapids, guests ride in twelve-passenger rubber rafts and slide down a raging and winding river through the heart of Asia. The trip includes some turbulent rapids and even a small drop down a waterfall. The ride also contains some of the most beautiful landscaping and theming in Walt Disney World.

Note: If you are carrying items that aren’t waterproof, you may want to store them in lockers or leave them with someone not riding the attraction. There is a storage compartment in the center of the raft that keeps items mostly dry, but they still get a little damp.

 

There is a 38" minimum height requirement.

 

Age: Attraction Review: ages 2-4 Many young kids are not tall enough for the height requirement, but those that are usually enjoy the ride. ages 5-10 This ride is a lot of fun for kids, especially those who enjoy getting soaked. ages 11-15 While the ride is fairly tame, most pre-teens and teens enjoy Kali River Rapids. ages 16-adult The landscaping and beautiful theming of the attraction is probably of more interest to adults than the ride itself, which is fairly tame. senior citizens Some seniors dislike the concept of getting soaked.

Kali River Rapids has the longest lines between 11:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m

Wait and get a Kali River Rapids FASTPASS after you've obtained one for either Kilimanjaro Safaris or Expedition Everest (if riding).

Aniaml Kingdom Facts

• The river guests travel down is named the Chakranadi River
• Originally the attraction was entitled Tiger River Rapids, but was renamed when Disney designers thought guests would be disappointed since there are not live tigers on the ride.
