Downtown Disney World is located near the eastern edge of the Disney World property. The best way to describe Downtown Disney is a mini metropolis of restaurants, nightclubs, shops and theatres. It is divided into three sections…the largest is the West Side, a restaurant, shopping and entertainment district. Cirque du Soleil Theater and Disney Quest are located in this area.
The second major section to Downtown Disney World is Pleasure Island, an adult after hour’s theme park. Pleasure Island has a great many clubs and bars which is always very popular among the young adults.
The third section of Downtown Disney World is the Market Place. This area has few nice restaurants many restaurants such as Rainforest Café, Fulton’s Crab House and Margarita Café, which over looks the marina. If you are into boating then Captain Jack’s Marina’s is for you can rent boats.
Disney Quest is a free attraction and most families decide to spend at least one night enjoying one of the many great restaurants or just simply strolling up and down the boardwalk area. If you arrive in town late in the afternoon and it is a little too late to rush to one of the theme parks you and your family will thoroughly enjoy the Downtown Disney area.
