Orlando Vacation - EPCOT - The Land
Magic Kingdom | Epcot | Disney MGM-Studios | Disney's Animal Kingdom Overview :: Attractions :: Dining :: Shopping:: Characters The Land Pavillion The overall theme of The Land is an exploration of our planet and how it produces food to support humanity and all of the other creatures living on Earth. The Land is divided up into four separate attractions: Living with The Land, Circle of Life and Soarin'. Living with the Land This narrator boat ride takes riders through show scenes simulating the different eco systems of our planet including the Amazon rainforest, the desert and the western prairie. Then it's off to the greenhouses where Disney scientists work on innovative ways to grow crops. Some of the unusual plants seen are the jackfruit and fluted pumpkins. You'll also find tomatoes growing from a tree and ten pound lemons. The technological advancements in growing plants include hydroponics, which enables the scientist to grow plants with limited water and aeroponics, which allows them to grow without any soil at all. Circle of Life This thirteen minute film stars Simba, Timon and Pumbaa from the Lion King and highlights the balance between man and nature. Timon is anxious to get started on his Hakuna Matata Resort, but unfortunately has been completely negligent on taking into consideration its environmental impact. Simba points out another group that have forgotten about their responsibility: mankind. minimum height requirement

When to Visit Besides Soarin' none of the attractions in the Land pavilions get very long lines. Visit anytime, or while waiting for your Soarin' FASTPASS. Trivia - Look carefully while traveling through the pumpkin patch and you might notice some pumpkins in the shape of Mickey's head.
- Longtime Disney fans will notice the absence of the song Listen to the Land. The song was removed in 1994 when Listen to the Land was remodeled to Living with the Land.
