Mickey’s PhilharMagic

One of the newest attractions within The Magic Kingdom is also one of the most spectacular. This 3-D movie takes place in a large, custom-designed theater that actually interacts with visitors. For example, when water shoots on screen, guests will feel droplets of water shot at them.

This movie features state-of-the-art computer animation, tons of special effects, and features some of Disney's most memorable musical moments including Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast, Part of Your World from Little Mermaid, Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia, Just Can't Wait to Be King from the Lion King, You Can Fly You Can Fly, You Can Fly, from Peter Pan, and A Whole New World from Aladdin. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is presented on a 150-foot by 28-foot movie screen which is the lwidest seamless screen in the world.

When to Go

Mickey's PhilharMagic rarely gets a line over 20 minutes and is a great attraction to visit in midday when lines are at their longest.

FASTPASS

Mickey's PhilharMagic almost never uses its FASTPASS due to its short stand-by lines. Even if they are running FASTPASS, it's not going to save you nearly as much waiting in line as the others available at the Magic Kingdom.

Trivia

  • Listen carefully to Donald Duck. Some of the dialogue is taken from old cartoons and is voiced by the original Clarence Nash, while other was recorded specifically for the film and is by the modern voice Tony Anselmo. Can you tell the difference?
  • Originally during A Whole New World the audience could smell the scent of jasmine perfume, playing off the fact the princess' name is also Jasmine. Unfortunately, many guests were allergic to the scent and Disney quickly pulled it from the show.
  • The song the orchestra keeps playing to Donald's repeated annoyance is the Mickey Mouse Club March, from the 1955 Mickey Mouse Club television show.
