This light-hearted log flume ride takes guests through the story of Brer Rabbit, as he tries to outwit Brer Fox and Brer Bear. Riders float through scenes filled with dozens of singing Audio-Animatronic characters from Disney’s animated classic Song of the South. As the original story goes, Brer Rabbit outsmarts Brer Fox by asking him not to throw him into the briar patch. This attraction uses the famous scene for it's thrilling finale, as riders plunge down a 52 foot drop down Chick-A-Pin hill and into the briar patch.

Note: Riders sitting in the front row get the wettest on the final plunge.

There is a 40" height requirement for this ride.

Age:	Attraction Review:
ages 2-4	Children who are tall enough to reach the height requirement may still find the final drop too intense.
ages 5-10	Some children are incredibly frightened by the final drop, others rate Splash Mountain as one of the best rides in the Magic Kingdom.
ages 11-15	Often ranked as one of the best attractions in the Magic Kingdom.
ages 16-adult	Often ranked as one of the best attractions in the Magic Kingdom.
senior citizens	The most thrilling element of the ride is the big drop which is easily visible from the outside. If you think you can handle the plunge, the rest of the attraction is quite wonderful and is one of Disney's best.

Disney Tip

Splash Mountain is usually the longest line in the Magic Kingdom. It's best to visit either the first hour the park is open or the last hour before the park closes.

FASTPASS

Splash Mountain is one of the most valulable FASTPASS attractions, due to it's long lines. It's a good idea to grab a FASTPASS for Splash Mountain first thing in the morning. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is located right next door which makes it a great attraction to ride while waiting for your FASTPASS time to come up.

Disney Facts

Splash Mountain features the Academy Award winning Disney tune, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" as well as "How-Do-You-Do" and "Ev'rybody's Got a Laughin' Place" from Song of the South.
If you listen carefully to the prairie dogs in the Laughin' Place scene, one of them seems to shout out "FSU" which is a reference to Florida State University.
