Disney World is known for the four main theme parks, but their water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are ranked #1 and #2 best water parks in the entire world.

Recreation takes in a lot and at Disney world it covers a myriad of activities.  If you are looking to go off the beaten path, you will find around every corner another activity worth the time you will spend. 
Listed below are just some of the recreational activities that we have found worthy of mention:

Golf at Disney World: Each of the six Disney courses offer a unique experience. Some are flat, others have huge mounds, moguls where flat lies are hard to find, some are easy and others quite difficult. It you are a scratch golfer there are courses for you. For the higher handicap player, you won’t feel left out for Disney offers you courses that will fit your skill level…remember, you are on vacation and they want you to have fun.

Miniature Golf:  You might remember the Disney Classic Fantasia well if you do, you will feel right at home for this is the background theme that will serenade you as you hole that windmill put.  You will find there are two courses to challenge the entire family. One is the Garden Course at Disney’s Fantasia Gardens.  Here the aspiring golfer of tomorrow will play havoc with the magical brooms. There is a second set of links with sand bunkers, rough, an undulating hills that is called Fantasia Fairways.  If you are looking for something to do in the late afternoon or early evening, when there are virtually no people, then you will want to play Winter Summerland which is in Blizzard Beach Water Park

You always wanted to do it…here is your chance….did you know you can learn to surf at Craig  Carroll’s  Surfing School. That’s right the tide is up at Disney World and so is a great time. Before you know it you will be riding the waves and having more fun than you could ever imagine….who needs theme parks anyway?

Ever thought about driving your own race car powered by a 630 horsepower engine? Well here is your chance. Now, I know what you are thinking…I will ride… and leave the driving to someone else.  Now so fast Junior Johnson…that’s not the case at Disney World…you are the driver and guess what…you will be the only one in the car….we have heard about you on the interstates back home…you think we want to ride with you? Not on your life. You must make reservations by calling 1-800-Be- Petty.  Oh by the way, did you know women as a rule go faster around Disney’s Speedway. ..what does that tell you?

Boating at Disney World:  Most people are not aware that there are all kinds of boats for rent at the Disney Marinas.  That’s right…Disney World offers the largest rental fleet of watercraft in the entire world. We know with so many kinds of watercraft from wave runners to racing runabouts to even Boston Whalers and of course pontoon craft, there is something for you.

Fishing: Now here is an activity that will sure to please. Almost everyone will catch a largemouth bass on Disney’s Pontoon fishing trip. Why not guarantee your family a great time and get a whale of a picture as well.
